Yeah, I think you may have to copy and paste everything.

Since you're repasting everything into the new account, you won't have to create links.
To delete tags, go to MANAGE TAGS on
http://www.livejournal.com/
under JOURNAL. Select the tags you want to delete and click REMOVE SELECTED TAG(S).
