Your daughter is awesome. <33
Even more so, because she acknowledges Yoochun's existence!!!:D
My mom refuses to even look at Koreans.......... -_-
And keeps on calling them Chinese.... >.

my mom did that too and she keeps calling my husband el chino (the chinaman) and he is filipino XD

[identity profile] allysonmae18.livejournal.com 2010-05-25 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
REALLY. -_- It's exasperating.. So now, I totally ignore her whenever I spazz over Yoochun or KPOP, just because she keeps saying...

"Chinese again!?"

AND my dad isn't any different. >.>

[identity profile] decodexx.livejournal.com 2010-05-24 04:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Same, kinda. My mom doesn't mind me obsessing over them but she keeps on calling them Chinese lol.

[identity profile] allysonmae18.livejournal.com 2010-05-25 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
Actually they mind, but, I DON'T MIND THEIR MINDING. xD Lol, what?
And yes, they can't seem to understand that Japanese, Chinese and Koreans are THREE TOTALLY DIFFERENT THINGS. :[

I gave up making her understand a long time ago. >.>

Who would like to see Yuchun perform live

I find it so ridiculously adorable that she included that. <3

IKR? When our friend "accidentally" erased all the K-Pop from her MP3 player, she went ballistic and cried. Even worse, it was on Christmas at a family gathering.

[identity profile] silver-might.livejournal.com 2010-05-24 03:47 pm (UTC)(link)
that was so cute! She certainly know you well :) I can just imagine you with a big sappy grin on your face after reading that. XD

The Mother's Day card made me cry.

Who would like to see Yoochun perform live.
That was priceless! Such a sweet girl! It's great that the two of you can share your love of Kpop.

That has got to go into the history books as one of the best mother's day cards ever.

I hope if I ever have kids one day that they'll be as cool as that.

Kudos to the mum who raised her!

Awww... That's a really sweet poem your daughter wrote. She did a lovely job. ^^

That's so cool that she even knows Yoochun and how much he means to you. :D

Please don't mind me asking, but what does your family/loved ones think of your Kpop addiction? You can comment back here or PM me, whichever is easiest for you...

My husband thinks I am mentally ill and that I need help. Seriously.

Bill, the guy who lives with us says it is an affliction.

My daughter loves the music. When Bill erased the K-pop from her mp3, she had a fit; and on Christmas day visiting family and friends. It was not a pretty site.

Jess used to like Yunho, but I think she's more into Britney Spears right now. I don't care; as long as she doesn't start cursing and gyrating, I'm ok with what she listens too.

Another late comment, but I feel I need to respond back.

Anyways, *Hugs* I really feel your pain. :(
I thought my boyfriend was so bad, especially when he complains a lot and wonders why I'm not into "American Music" anymore.

Only few family members and IRL friends know about my Kpop obsession. They either are indifferent, don't care that I like Kpop or not aware of it at all. It's more of the "I'm rather intrigued about your Kpop interest part," since my mom is Filipino. My sister thought Ryeowook was cute while she has left comments on my ZE:A photos. I have one friend who's into Kpop and we'll go to Kpop shows every now and then.

That's so cool that your daughter is into Kpop. When the time comes and I end up being a parent, I wonder if my future kids will get into Kpop as well as Jpop. ^^

I'm sure there are kpop fans in NJ, I just don't know where. Maybe I should advertiseon Omona

There you go! I know there's a whole handful where I'm at, including some that went to my old colleges. ^^

I'm usually shy when it comes to making friends IRL...

Sad, but most of my friends are on LJ and I've never met them. I have RL friends; we just don't see each other that often.
