Just in case you ever reconsider trying to make a master fic list.
I just realized an error in my instructions. The DATE OUT OF ORDER button is not visible until you click on EDIT, which is right next to the date. Change the year from 2011 to a year after 2011. Then click on the DATE OUT OF ORDER button.
Doing this will keep your master list at the top of your journal.
I was wondering, if I decided not to do a master fic list but really narrow the tags, would you suggest I use the titles of the fics as tags which some have already or just the genre, ie "angst" "fluff" etc. That way if someone didn't like angst, they could avoid that tag rather than clicking on the title of a fic only to find angst or some other horrible thing, lol.
Personally, I would go with the title as a tag. Suppose I don't like reading angst and I happen to click on a title of a fic only to find angst, then I would just click on another title tag; It's no bother.
Maybe you can post a separate entry and ask this question to everybody.
For future reference

I see your tags have slimmed down.
