if you only go by who leaves you comments than yes ... if that's the case, then only 30 people or so read my fanfics.

I have 1445 people following my journal.

I know they don't all leave comments.

Silent readers are there, don't you worry about it.

And some of us points to me with a harsh look on my face read but don't always comment.

i totally agree with traci.....i did uhmm lurk on her lj for while *ashamed without leaving comments on many of her stories **coughs plus sometimes i'm too incoherent to do so....*coughs

It's ok, it was just an observation that I made. I've had several folks ask to be my friends lately, at least 10 or more because they wanted to read my fics, but I think they are silent readers; no comments left at all.

nah, they might simply be shy, lazy, busy, or couldn't think of anything to say. i was guilty of being a silent lurker too since i was always in a rush to read, having very little free time to spend for myself. then i realized that the least i can do for the writers who give me joy is to comment, even if it was just a simple thank you.

I'm guilty of the opposite; I don't always read other people's fics. But when I do, I leave a comment.

I was just really confused because after my master fic list went up, I had a huge influx of people wanting to friend me to read my fics. I don't know what happened to all these folks. Most of them haven't left comments. I guess people just read and move on.

shame on me. i'm a silent reader...but i still read your fanfics and i LOVE them. and I'm sure many of us appreciate your work. personally I don't think i'm smart enough to say anything constructive for such talented people as you fanfic writers.
